Registry Path: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\FileCenter

- Added FileCenterCapture as a detected folder location for third party Scanner Software destination. This will allow for a similar experience to our ScanSnap Scanner Integration with Selected Location Scanning from Scanner Manufacturer Profiles. 12.0.14.x (2023-11-27)

- Fixed an issue with "Prompt for More" and "Manual Duplex" checkbox options in "Scan Dialog" which would cause multiple confirmation dialogs to display instead of a single confirmation dialog.

- Fixed an issue with the "Refresh" button in the "Home" tab which may have caused a significant delay when trying to update the current "Product Information".
12.0.12.x (2023-09-22)
FileCenter Install
- Fixed some issues with certain user-defined items (such as Filters.ini for FileCenter Save/Open Dialog intercept) not getting copied over when switching installation from an "All Users" install to a "Current User" or "Terminal Services" install through the Registry Key: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\FileCenter. This was resulting in the FileCenter Save/Open Dialog not intercepting due to no Filters.ini in the "appropriate" Settings location in use based on the installation type. This Filters.ini contains all the exe file types we intercept by default, in addition to any that are manually added by users under FileCenter > Settings > Save/Open > Selected Applications Below. If Filters.ini (within ProgramData\FileCenter, AppData\Local\FileCenter, AppData\Roaming\FileCenter - depending on installation type) is blank or does not exist FileCenter will not intercept any application Save/Open dialogs because FileCenter does not know which exe files to intercept the Windows Save/Open Dialog from to replace with our FileCenter Save/Open Dialog.
- All Users Install: All Users have/use the same settings, all settings stored to ProgramData\FileCenter. One user changing a setting affects all users settings.
- Current User Install: Each User of a single PC/Workstation has unique settings stored to AppData\Local\FileCenter or AppData\Roaming\FileCenter. Some non-unique settings are still stored in ProgramData\FileCenter as well. One user changing a FileCenter setting only affects the user changing the setting.
- Terminal Services Install: Each User of a Terminal Server/Cloud Host Environment has unique settings stored to AppData\Roaming\FileCenter. Some non-unique settings are still stored in ProgramData\FileCenter as well. One user changing a FileCenter setting only affects the user changing the setting.
FileCenter Admin
- Fixed an issue that was occurring with some users when trying to specify a Custom Recycle Bin to All Users when multiple Groups existed. The fix for this was basically making FileCenterShared > Admin section > Settings only apply to the "All Users" Group rather than setting these on a per Group basis. NOTE: This may require reconfiguring the "Edit Default Settings" of "Shared Settings" including the "Custom Recycle Bin" setting/location and any "Forced" options as this will now apply to "All Users" rather than unique Groups.
- Fixed an issue with scaling on the "Groups" button dialog.
FileCenter Automate
- Fixed some OCR related issues that may have been present in initial release which caused documents to appear as if they were not run through OCR (not text searchable).
- Fixed an issue with conversion to PDF from TIF/TIFF files that may have resulted in excess white/blank space.
- Fixed an issue with scaling on the "Jobs" button dialog.
FileCenter DMS
- Added CTRL and SHIFT Click "Preview" Refreshing to update the Preview Pane when working with multiple files in Manage tab.
- Added Scan/OCR Profile "custom sorting" which will also now be respected in the dropdown list of Scan/OCR Profiles in the Scan/OCR button dialogs as well.
- Added Window Title to intercept and replace Windows Save/Open dialog with FileCenter Save/Open dialog - Window Title: Report export filename
- Added new option/setting for "Remove file icon on thumbnails" under "Settings" > "Manage Files" section, this will remove the file type indicator from "Enhanced Thumbnails" to only display the "Enhanced Thumbnail" itself.
- Added new option in FileCenter Pro/FileCenter Pro Plus "PDF Editor" tab > Form menu for "Identify Forms" - this new option will perform an OCR to try to identify and place as many form Fields as possible, some manual Field creation may still be required after using this.
- Added some additional refreshing to "SharePoint" button integration. (Pro Plus)
- Updated Image Editor to latest build/version.
- Updated PDF Editor to latest build/version.
- Updated PDF Printer to latest build/version.
- Updated Previewers to latest build/version.
- Made changes to "Tab" navigation in an attempt to improve performance when switching between "Inbox" tab and "Manage" tab.
- Modified Cabinet "Drop List" layout to display the maximum amount of Cabinets that will fit, prior to displaying scroll bar/forcing scrolling.
- Modified "Rename on Drop" Rename Field to automatically "clear" the field when text has been manually been entered, for subsequent file drops. This change does not impact if a "Naming Option" has been chosen from the dropdown list - "Naming Option" selections from the dropdown list will be retained through subsequent file drop operations.
- Fixed some OCR related issues that may have been present in initial release which caused documents to appear as if they were not run through OCR (not text searchable).
- Fixed an issue with Scan Modes in which a VSTWAIN Bug Report error may have unintentionally occurred preventing successful scanning in FileCenter.
- Fixed an issue with Dark Mode theme not being reflected in the "Select" > "Select Driver" dialog of "Scan" button dialog.
- Fixed an issue where "Papermaster Export Utility" was shown in "Tools" dropdown even if the required exe was missing/not installed. This will not display unless the exe is for this is requested and installed/placed in our FileCenter folder to avoid errors about a missing exe. "Papermaster Export Utility" with instructions is available upon request to
- Fixed an issue where we were failing to display an error message that previously existed on a new Cabinet/new Inbox when trying to Scan to a new Cabinet/new Inbox without any Drawers/Folders, this error message has now been restored to advise creation and selection of Drawers/Folders prior to scanning. Ultimately ended up removing this error message again and replacing it with a fix to a Refresh issue we were having with "Cabinet Root" and "Inbox Root" not immediately displaying along with the first file of the new Cabinet/Inbox residing in the "root".
- Fixed an issue with conversion to PDF from TIF/TIFF files that may have resulted in excess white/blank space.
- Fixed an issue preventing Outlook addin from Registering/Activating/Loading.
- Fixed an issue in which "Enhanced Thumbnails" would continuously "Refresh" (blink/flash) when the option under Settings > Manage Files for "Enable Full File Refreshing" was checked.
- Fixed an issue with "Split" button view and "Preview" pane in which, if you had a file selected on top and bottom view, with the last selection in the top view Previewed, it would revert to the bottom view selection for the active "Preview" when selecting the Split options "Rename on Drop" Rename Field, Rename Dropdown, ... button, or Copy/Move bubbles.
- Fixed an issue with Outlook Drag and Drop Integration Dialog Dark Mode Theme which resulted in filenames not being visible but instead hidden in white (not properly handling Dark Mode Theme switch for font/font background).
- Fixed an issue with "Locate" button in which "Auto Selection" of Drawer/Folder wasn't working properly if "Cabinet Root" was selected prior to performing a "Search/Locate" for a file in another Drawer/Folder.
- Fixed an issue with "Preview" after scan with FileCenter "Scan" button scanners along with "ScanSnap" physical button scanners in which a new scan would show a preview for a different file within the directory you are scanning to briefly, before displaying the actual scan, or it may have gotten stuck on the incorrect Preview as well. For any new scans with any scanner, the "Preview" should now immediately and correctly reflect the newly scanned file.
- Fixed an issue with "Inbox" Split (Manage tab and Inbox tab Split) in which "Enhanced Thumbnails" would not immediately refresh upon using Drag and Drop to Copy/Move.
- Fixed a scaling issue with "Cancel" button/link near Extract Progress bar in lower left corner of the screen.
- Fixed an issue with "SharePoint" button/integration pane that prevented users from entering credentials and pressing "Enter" to Login, "Enter" button is now allowed after entering "SharePoint Credentials". (Pro Plus)
- Fixed a UI glitch when "Dark Mode" was used with the "SharePoint" button pane, this would cause distorted text on the buttons at the top of the Pane in some sections of the "SharePoint" integration pane, previously you had to hover over these buttons to correct the text every FileCenter launch. (Pro Plus)
- Fixed an issue with "Enhanced Thumbnails" in which they may have loaded more slowly than they had in the past.
- Fixed an issue with "Enhanced Thumbnails" in which some newly scanned files or pre-existing files prior to FileCenter 12 upgrade may have been displaying "Black" images rather than displaying the actual image. You will need to go to FileCenter > Manage tab > Files button/dropdown in Files pane > "Clear Thumbnail Storage" to rebuild your thumbnail cache if still receiving "Black" images for "Enhanced Thumbnails" after updating.
- Fixed a longstanding issue with "Bookmarks" being lost on "Combine" and "Drag and Drop" - existing Bookmarks should once again be retained on "Combine" and "Drag and Drop" Append/Prepend.
- Fixed some scaling issues in "Combine" button dialog as well as "Drag and Drop" Append/Prepend dialog which may have caused a limited amount of files to display in either dialog - Example: more than 2-3 items could have resulted in a scroll bar previously, this should no longer occur and the dialogs should fit more items.
- Fixed an issue in which "Home" tab messaging may have unintentionally caused "Manage" tab to forget your last selected location on FileCenter launch.
- Potentially fixed a scaling issue with some dialogs for some users. Example: Manage Tab "Search" dialog in FileCenter kept re-scaling itself on subsequent launches.
FileCenter Portal
- Fixed an issue with sending the optional "Personal Message" when using "Share" button to share out Folders to Guests, in which certain characters were causing the error message "Error in Add/Update Share - something unexpected happened" to appear and preventing a successful Share.
FileCenter Receipts
- Fixed an issue with Scan Modes in which a VSTWAIN Bug Report error may have unintentionally occurred preventing successful scanning in FileCenter.
- Fixed some Analyze related issues that may have been present in initial release which caused receipts to appear as if they were not run through Analyze (not detecting text).
- Fixed an issue with conversion to PDF from TIF/TIFF files that may have resulted in excess white/blank space.
- Fixed an issue where "Prompt to Add after Scan" Setting was not applying to ScanSnap Scans resulting in the "Add Receipt" dialog not popping up immediately after scanning in a receipt, requiring a double click of the Receipt in the Inbox.
FileCenter Scan
- Fixed an issue with Scan Modes in which a VSTWAIN Bug Report error may have unintentionally occurred preventing successful scanning in FileCenter.

11.0.56.x (2023-05-18)
- Further improvements to Copy/Move/Delete/Rename folder refreshing.
- Fixed some issues with Enhanced Thumbnails not populating/populating a blank black box. This fix will require you click the "Files" menu and "Clear Thumbnail Storage" or selecting an Enhanced Thumbnail and using "Files" menu > Reload Selected Thumbs (alternatively select an Enhanced Thumbnail and press F5).
11.0.55.x (2023-03-02)
FileCenter Suite
- Made adjustments to FileCenter Suite Installer, now displays "Install/Update PDF Printer" rather than "Install PDF Printer" since this is a component that we update.
- Made adjustments to FileCenter Suite Installer, new installs will have all desktop shortcuts disabled/unchecked by default - if any of the desktop shortcuts are selected on the first/initial install, these will be remembered for subsequent FileCenter installs/updates and changes made through each subsequent install will be respected on following installs. These toggles cannot delete the desktop shortcuts - if they were previously installed/placed on the desktop they will need to be manually removed and going forward it should be a non-issue.
- Made adjustments to SILENT and VERYSILENT installs, FileCenter application desktop shortcuts will no longer be installed by default, but can be installed through the following "switches" /FileCenterShortCut=1 /AutomateShortCut=1 /ReceiptsShortCut=1 /ScanShortCut=1 if desired. These switch options will not be remembered for future FileCenter installs/updates and they also will not interfere with Manual Install (Installer) options. These switches cannot delete the desktop shortcuts - if they were previously installed/placed on the desktop they will need to be manually removed and going forward it should be a non-issue.
- Fixed a "Maintenance" issue in the "FileCenter Suite Installer".
FileCenter Admin
- Fixed some refresh issues which may have resulted in "closing" "FileCenter Admin/Admin Tool" not committing certain changes, such as the "Custom Recycle Bin" option/path itself in "FileCenterShared" tab > "Settings" section > "Edit Default Settings" and/or the "Force Network Recycle Bin" option/checkbox in "Settings" section.
- Fixed an issue where "Admin Tool/FileCenter Admin" may have not been forcing a refresh when closing the "Admin Tool/FileCenter Admin" window, as it should have forced changes to commit when doing this.
FileCenter DMS
- Updated FileCenter PDF Editor to latest build/version.
- Updated FileCenter PDF Printer to latest build/version.
- Updated FileCenter Image Editor to latest build/version.
- Added Restriction to Drag and Drop within the same Cabinet/Drawer/Folder/Inbox location to prevent Windows messaging about the file being moved to the same location.
- Added "Use small toolbar buttons" option back to "Settings" > "General" section and restored this functionality.
- Added method for Support Team to assist with removing duplicate "Standard Profile" in FileCenter (local) package if a "Standard Profile" (locked item in main/local package) was mistakenly copied using "Copy To" from "Admin Tool" from FileCenterShared (shared) package or another package back into FileCenter (main/local package) resulting in multiple locked "Standard Profile" entries.
- Added support for "Folder" Naming Options within the "Default Scan Name" under "Advanced" tab of the "Scan" button dialog. Folder Naming options should now display here in the "Default Scan Name" dropdown for you to choose from.
- Added HEIC file type as a supported file type for "Convert" button/dialog. This allows for converting from HEIC to Image File Types.
- Added "Search" to "Inbox" tab main pane and restored "Search" to "Split" pane for "Inbox" tab and "Manage" tab.
- Added back method for collecting registration information from "Retail" key entry.
- Added support for using "CTRL+Drag and Drop" within "Files" pane/view to Drag and Drop Copy since we are now restricting Drag and Drop Move within the same Files view/location to prevent a Windows Error Dialog from appearing due to the move not being allowed for same location.
- Added support for "Right Click > Copy to Clipboard" when hovering on Product Key (Key:) listed in "Home" tab of each product.
- Added support for copying key from "Edit Key" button dialog in "Home" tab of each product with key displayed and selected/highlighted by default.
- Added "Get New Key" button and messaging for users upgrading from a "prior version" to the "latest version" of FileCenter Products. This will indicate the requirement to replace the "prior version key" with the "latest version key" for FileCenter Products. You can do this by purchasing a new/upgrade/replacement key or by working directly with Support Team or Sales Team to obtain the "latest version key" for free if under maintenance.
- Added "Date Deleted" column to "Custom Recycle Bin" for Network Location Deletes (Mapped Drives/UNC Paths) when the "Custom Recycle Bin" option has been enabled. This includes date and time sorted from newest delete on top to oldest delete on the bottom for the new default.
- Added "Drake" (drake##.exe)/"Drake Accounting" (DrakeAccounting####.exe) exe's to default FileCenter Save/Open "Filters" list for up to Tax Year 2024 to make sure we intercept these Save/Open dialogs by default/without user interaction to manually add them.
- Reverted a change that forced "PDF Printer" to install whether or not "Install/Update PDF Printer" was checked in the installer options - checkbox will now be respected.
- Improvements within FileCenter "Shared Settings"/"FileCenterShared" tab of "Admin Tool" - Add, Edit, Remove performed while under "FileCenterShared" tab items.
- Improvements to FileCenter Drawer/Folder/File "Auto-Refresh" on Rename/Delete/Move/Copy for local drives, mapped network drives, mapped unc drive paths, mapped sharepoint drives, etc. May help to prevent seeing duplicate Drawer/Folder/File items (pointing to the same exact Drawer/Folder/File rather than an actual duplicate/copy) being displayed as well.
- Made adjustments to "Display" to allow Drag and Drop Combine anywhere in the row you are dropping while in Details View.
- Made adjustments to "Display" to allow Right Click Context Menu file options to display anywhere in the row selected.
- Made adjustments to "Display" to allow Inline Editing of file Name anywhere in the Name column while in Details View when "Inline Editing" is enabled through Settings > Manage Files.
- Set "Perceptive" as the default Preview option (Default Non-PDF Previewer) for Non-PDF Files on "New" installs.
- Removed FileCenter Save/Open Dialog from "Browse" button within "Cabinets" button dialog > Add and Edit Cabinet button dialogs. This was unintentionally re-activated in a recent build/update.
- Removed trace of "Enhanced Thumbnails" option from FileCenter Save/Open Dialog that appeared under "Display" button options, though it should not have since it did not function anyway. We no longer support "Enhanced Thumbnails" or "Preview" from directly within the FileCenter Save/Open Dialog due to issues they cause with the performance of the FileCenter Save/Open Dialog itself.
- Rolled back a change to "Split" button view that filtered "Original Name" naming option to not display the Top Split "Selected File Name" in the "Rename on Drop" droplist.
- Fixed a longstanding issue with the FileCenter application Title Bar in which, when a "Ribbon Accent Color" (Theme Color) was set - the Maximize, Minimize, and Close buttons in the upper right corner would become "hidden" in certain monitor configurations set through Windows Display Settings. The prior workaround was to set "Ribbon Accent Color" to "None" and this should no longer be needed.
- Fixed an issue with "Portal" tab in which if you navigated away from Portal tab into another tab, you would lose part of the "Up/Down" when navigating back to Portal tab - The "Upload to Portal" and "Download to Computer" buttons would be missing when you returned and the Up/Down button was showing it was de-activated, the only workaround was to turn off Up/Down and then turn it back on.
- Fixed an issue where Activation, Install, and Renewal Notices may have not been updating properly when FileCenter Applications are launched.
- Fixed an issue with the setting "Ribbon Accent Color" in which if a color was selected rather than being set to "None", the Windows Taskbar would not be displayed if "Automatically Hide The Taskbar" was set in Windows Settings for the Windows Taskbar.
- Fixed an issue with the Preview Location setting "In its own window" that would allow the Preview Window to be pushed behind FileCenter main window when on the same screen.
- Fixed an issue where the new Activation, Install, and Renewal Notices may conflict with the old message dialogs we had in V10/V11 - Removed these old dialogs.
- Fixed potential freezing/not responding for certain drag and drop operations along with other situations where hang/freeaze may have occurred previously.
- Fixed an issue that was causing Folders to "collapse" when they had been expanded while working with Files in Manage Tab, this seemed to be occurring at the end of a scan for some while others may have just been working with files in the PDF Editor.
- Fixed some issues with Titlebar Color/Ribbon Accent Color which may have resulted in Tabs and Buttons swapping positions, when set to anything other than "None".
- Fixed various issues with FileCenter PDF Printer: Installing the latest FileCenter build/update should no longer remove the FileCenter PDF Printer or cause the FileCenter PDF Printer activation to become corrupted resulting in watermarks. Also, Help > Support Options > "Uninstall PDF Printer"/"Reinstall PDF Printer" should now be functional.
- Fixed additional issues with Split view that resulted in our "Move" bubble for Drag and Drop in Split view being ignored and always copying files in a situation such as local drive to network drive/network drive to local drive.
- Fixed a longstanding issue with our Outlook Cabinets/Outlook Contact Cabinet in which the "Manage Drawers" option would not connect to the Contact Folder that had been selected for that cabinet, resulting in no contacts displaying in order to create the drawers from.
- Adjusted some Naming Option restrictions - example: «DATE yyyy-mm-dd».«FOLDER Drawer». wasn't permitted previously, but now it is.
- Fixed an issue with "Rename on Drop" option from "Split" view where this wasn't pulling in the Destination Name but rather the Source Name.
- Fixed an issue with the setting "Keep Cabinet buttons over Files window when Preview is on" under Settings > Manage Files in which the Cabinet buttons may shift over to the far right when the PDF Editor or Image Editor tabs were accessed with the Preview pane active.
- Fixed an issue where "Preview" pane may lose it's positioning/size when going from Maximized to Windowed and back to Maximized and/or when going from Maximized to Minimized and back to Maximized.
- Fixed an issue where the "Scan" option "Manual Duplex" was producing a resulting document with the "Page Order" incorrect after clicking the "No" option on the "Perform Manual Duplex" dialog/prompt.
- Fixed an issue with "Use Large Font" setting under "Settings" > "General" in which "Use Large Font" would cause a button within cabinet Add/Edit for "Outlook Contact Cabinet" > "Advanced" tab to be cut off. The button name was "Update Outlook Folders".
- Fixed an issue where if maintenance was expired or coming due, you may have unintentionally been placed in "Manage" tab if opening a file into FileCenter "PDF Editor" or "Image Editor" with FileCenter closed.
- Fixed an issue with "Reload Selected Thumbnails" option under "Files" button/dropdown in "Manage" tab. This also fixed an issue with selecting thumbnail(s) and pressing F5 to reload selected thumbnail(s).
- Fixed some spacing issues with "Cabinets", "Drawers", "Folders", "Files" buttons/dropdowns when hovering over each one.
- Fixed an issue with "Enhanced Thumbnail"/"Thumbnail" orientation displaying incorrectly in "Files" pane, specifically reported and fixed for jPG but may help other file types as well. May require selecting problem "Enhanced Thumbnail(s)" and pressing "F5" to Reload the Enhanced Thumbnail(s) or you can also select the Enhanced Thumbnail(s) and click "Files" button dropdown > "Reload Selected Thumbnails". Alternatively, you can "Clear Thumbnail Storage" from "Files" button/dropdown to rebuild ALL "Enhanced Thumbnails".
- Fixed an issue where the "Split" bar may display the "SharePoint" and/or "Notes" icon for "Rename On Drop" rather than "Checkbox Unselected"/"Checkbox Selected" icons as it should have shown.
- Fixed an issue with "Preview" Pane when set to "Preview in it's own window" that resulted in Preview window being pushed on top of other Windows/Dialogs that were opened if "Preview" Window was up on a secondary monitor.
- Fixed an issue with "Promote To Top" in which, if you were connected to a Mapped Network Drive/UNC Path, and you had a child folder/subfolder you needed to Promote, the Folder View would refresh to show duplicated Folders (though these were not actually duplicate Folders - it was a problem with the view failing to refresh properly).
- Fixed an issue where "Cleanup" button may have been missing from the ribbon even if on the required FileCenter Pro Plus edition.
- Fixed an issue with "Custom Recycle Bin" which may have prevented restoring a file if the entire folder was deleted, may have received a message "Unable to create the folder ... The system cannot find the path specified." which resulted in the file(s) not being restored.
- Fixed an issue where a circle may display in the middle of the screen with some shading around it during the "Scan" process.
- Fixed an issue that may have caused problems (error messages, restore failure, etc) when using our "Custom Recycle Bin" feature with Network Mapped Drives and/or SharePoint Mapped Drives. This seemed to occur when attempting to "Restore" Deleted Files/Folders to their "Original Location".
- Fixed an issue where "Admin Tool/FileCenter Admin" may have not been forcing a refresh when closing the "Admin Tool/FileCenter Admin" window, as it should have forced changes to commit when doing this.
- Fixed an issue that allowed users to create empty Folders users may have not been aware of at C:\ProgramData\TempFC. This was due to a problem that occurred if users did not have a "Cabinet Root" with no Drawer selected and went to "Folders" dropdown to create a new "Top Level Folder" (Drawer) - the Drawer folder was being created at C:\ProgramData\TempFC rather than the Cabinet itself. We are now restricting the folders menu in certain situations to prevent this from happening.
- Fixed an issue with "FileCenter Save/Open Dialog" which may have caused the "Display" button dialog to pop behind the "FileCenter Save/Open Dialog". Also fixed an issue where this "Display" dialog did not appear within the "FileCenter Save/Open Dialog" itself.
- Fixed an issue with "Drag and Drop" from "Web Browser Links" which was not allowing "Web Shortcuts" to be placed in "FileCenter" panes.
- Fixed an issue where if our navigation to "Home" tab due to maintenance was displayed, the "Preview" Pane would be Disabled on FileCenter launch though it was previously Enabled prior to FileCenter close.
- Fixed an issue where if "Split" button view was activated (button or cabinet setting) and the Bottom split had an item selected first, the "Preview" would not display for the selected item in the Bottom split until an item in the Top split was selected and then the item in the Bottom Split was selected a second time.
- Fixed an issue where a Mapped SharePoint Drive Letter Cabinet would result in a Bug Report/Crash.
- Fixed an issue where our "Apply Folder Template To" options may have hung up/froze if the list of folders to build was substantial, the process was started, and the Window focus was changed to something other than FileCenter.
- Fixed an issue where our "FileCenter Previewer" for PDFs may have held a lock on files when trying to Move, Delete, Rename, etc.
- Fixed an issue where in some PC/Network (Mapped Drive/UNC Paths)/Cloud Environments, "Folder" pane Folder Rename may have not been immediately updating when using "Rename" button or right click "Rename" dialogs to Rename. This did not seem to affect "Inline Edit Rename".
- Fixed an issue where in some PC/Network (Mapped Drive/UNC Paths)/Cloud Environments, "Folder" pane Folder Copy, Move, or Delete may have not been immediately updating upon the desired action being performed.
- Fixed an issue where "Manage" view/"Inbox" view/"Split" view drag and drop was navigating to the "Drawer" you dropped in, we no longer navigate in Top or Bottom pane to the location where the folder/file is dropped to better match Windows behavior.
- Fixed an issue with our "Move" button dialog in which if you were working in the "Inbox" and you activated the "Move" button dialog, it would place you in "Cabinet Root" within the "Move" button dialog rather than a selected "Folder" location.
- Fixed an issue where "Rename" dialog was mistakenly adding the extension to the "File Name" rather than an extension. With File Name Extensions displayed this appeared as a double - Example: "File001.pdf.pdf".
- Fixed an issue with our "SharePoint" and "Notes" buttons which may have caused these to incorrectly appear in our FileCenter Standard and FileCenter Pro ediitons when they are exclusive FileCenter Pro Plus features.
- Fixed an issue with the setting under "Settings" > "Manage Files" section "Display confirmation dialog when dragging and dropping" where the setting was not being respected resulting in Drag and Drop being allowed without confirmation.
- Fixed an issue that may have caused duplicates to appear in "FileCenter Scan Dialog" drop list if you had the same Naming Option listed in more than one "Package" Example: «FOLDER Level 2» «DATE yyyy-mm-dd» «INC 1» listed in both "FileCenter" (local package) and "FileCenterShared" (shared package).
- Fixed an issue with "Inbox" in which if you did not have an Inbox specified and you created a new folder it may have corrupted your "Inbox" by forcing a "Folder Pane" to become stuck activated even after removing all "Folders" once properly added through the "Inbox" button in main ribbon. It also may have tried sending your new Folders and Files added to the "Inbox" to an invalid temporary folder location that isn't used.
- Fixed an issue with "Inbox" in which adjusting the "Display" to another view (Small Icons, Large Icons, Details, Thumbnails, Enhanced Thumbnails etc) the view would not "Save" on a close and reopen of FileCenter though doing the same in "Manage" tab did.
- Potentially fixed an issue where "SharePoint Mapped Drive" may cause FileCenter to freeze up completely if a large file (Video file type specifically mkv m4v mp4 avi etc) was selected. This may have also occurred if the selected file was corrupt/appeared corrupt on the mapped drive (Windows File Explorer and FileCenter), but the file opened fine on SharePoint web. We are limited on what improvements we can make for this specific issue, as we have confirmed the same issues occur when accessing these items directly from the "SharePoint Mapped Drive" in "Windows File Explorer". Meaning, "Windows File Explorer" itself goes "Not Responding"/"Hangs"/"Freezes" like FileCenter does when there are issues with certain files on the "SharePoint Mapped Drive".
- Potentially fixed an issue where "Settings" dialog was ending up on the Primary Monitor when FileCenter was running on a secondary monitor, "Settings" dialog should now follow the monitor that FileCenter is on based on testing.
- Potentially fixed an issue where Folder and Drawer Coloring was unintentionally a lot smaller than it should have been.
- Potentially fixed an issue where "+" may have been displayed on "Folders" that didn't actually have any subfolders.
- Moved Activation, Install, and Renewal Notices from "Ribbon Display" to "Home Tab Display".
- Improved Activation, Install, and Renewal "Refresh" on launch and by "Refresh" button in "Home Tab".
FileCenter Automate
- Adjusted how "in place" conversions for large SkipLists and large directories recurse functions to find new files, which should result in a signifcant increase in how fast files are found and added to "Queue" for "in place conversions".
- Removed FileCenter Save/Open Dialog from "Browse" button within "Job" button dialogs > New and Edit Job button dialogs. This was done to match the current Cabinets experience when creating or editing Cabinets in FileCenter DMS.
- Fixed an issue with "Get Files" in which the search was not functioning correctly to search the "Input" location for Jobs.
- Fixed an issue that may have prevented Text-Based PDF documents from processing OCR - to make text searchable PDFs in some cases.
- Fixed an issue where "Schedule" (Job Schedule) was not being followed correctly and may have pulled in files immediately or before the scheduled time.
- Fixed an issue that may have caused "Skipped" items to be listed as "Cancelled" rather than being added to the "Skip List" and marked "Skipped". This issue may have resulted in these items being re-processed unintentionally.
- Fixed an issue where Activation, Install, and Renewal Notices may have not been updating properly when FileCenter Applications are launched.
- Fixed an issue where the new Activation, Install, and Renewal Notices may conflict with the old message dialogs we had in V10/V11 - Removed these old dialogs.
- Fixed an issue with FileCenter Save/Open in which it may not have intercepted Windows Save Dialogs successfully for some applications and/or within certain PC/Server/Terminal Server Environments involving a Windows Server software (Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022, etc), though this may have caused issues for Windows 7, Windows 10, and Windows 11 as well.
- Fixed an issue with "Admin Tool" option not displaying under "Tools" button/dropdown in main ribbon of FileCenter Automate.
- Fixed an issue with "FileConvert Agent" being displayed in FileCenter Automate > "Tools" > "Restart FileCenter Automate Agent" dialog rather than displaying "FileCenter Automate Agent", the same was fixed in "Close FileCenter Automate Agent" confirmation dialog.
- Fixed an issue with "Restart FileCenter Automate Agent" under FileCenter Automate > "Tools" > "Restart FileCenter Automate Agent" where this option did not actually "Restart" the "FileCenter Automate Agent", though it would "End" the "FileCenter Automate Agent" process it failed to "Restart" the "FileCenter Automate Agent" process.
- Potentially fixed an issue where "Settings" dialog was ending up on the Primary Monitor when FileCenter was running on a secondary monitor, "Settings" dialog should now follow the monitor that FileCenter is on based on testing.
- Moved Activation, Install, and Renewal Notices from "Ribbon Display" to "Home Tab Display".
- Improved Activation, Install, and Renewal "Refresh" on launch and by "Refresh" button in "Home Tab".
FileCenter Portal
- Fixed a longstanding issue with the FileCenter application Title Bar in which, when a "Ribbon Accent Color" (Theme Color) was set - the Maximize, Minimize, and Close buttons in the upper right corner would become "hidden" in certain monitor configurations set through Windows Display Settings. The prior workaround was to set "Ribbon Accent Color" to "None" and this should no longer be needed.
- Potentially fixed an issue where "Settings" dialog was ending up on the Primary Monitor when FileCenter was running on a secondary monitor, "Settings" dialog should now follow the monitor that FileCenter is on based on testing.
FileCenter Receipts
- Fixed a longstanding issue with the FileCenter application Title Bar in which, when a "Ribbon Accent Color" (Theme Color) was set - the Maximize, Minimize, and Close buttons in the upper right corner would become "hidden" in certain monitor configurations set through Windows Display Settings. The prior workaround was to set "Ribbon Accent Color" to "None" and this should no longer be needed.
- Fixed an issue where using the "Inbox" button/dropdown to specify a "New Inbox" would result in the FileCenter Receipts application window to be pushed behind other open applications if FileCenter Receipts was not the only running application or if the other running applications were not "Minimized" before using the "New Inbox" to select a different Inbox location for a FileCenter Receipts box.
- Fixed an issue where "Preview" pane would lose it's current size/position set prior to Minimize and/or Close.
- Fixed some issues with Column Searching/Filtering - Removed "Date Created" Column option for "Keyword Search" column selection, as it was not a searchable column anyway. Also improved searching symbols in some of the other columns, specifically an ' was ending up duplicated when initiating a search, resulting in '' rather than '.
- Fixed an issue with "Quickbooks Desktop Integration" which could have resulted in Quickbooks blocking the prompt within Quickbooks that is normally used to "Allow" FileCenter Receipts access to Quickbooks Desktop. This issue may have also caused FileCenter Receipts to freeze or become unresponsive when trying to Refresh the Quickbooks Desktop Integration/Connection within FileCenter Receipts > Settings. If still having issues after the update, close FileCenter Receipts and Quickbooks Desktop completely (maybe even reboot the PC to be safe). Once this is done re-open Quickbooks Desktop and then open FileCenter Receipts and retry the Quickbooks Desktop Integration and/or Refresh within FileCenter Receipts > Settings and the issue should be resolved. You may also need to go into Quickbooks Desktop > Preferences and remove FileCenter Receipts from your list of "Allowed" applications if the issue persists, which may require repeating the process.
- Fixed an issue with committing/saving changes to Settings on "Receipts Boxes" that may have occurred in certain situations for some users, this resulted in user changes to Settings being lost/reset.
- Partially fixed an issue where "Inbox"/"Receipts" pane wouldn't restore to the correct position after Minimize and/or Close. This only seemed to occur if the pane was dragged all the way to the bottom making Inbox as large as possible.
FileCenter Scan
- Fixed a longstanding issue with the FileCenter application Title Bar in which, when a "Ribbon Accent Color" (Theme Color) was set - the Maximize, Minimize, and Close buttons in the upper right corner would become "hidden" in certain monitor configurations set through Windows Display Settings. The prior workaround was to set "Ribbon Accent Color" to "None" and this should no longer be needed.

FileCenter DMS
- The Split View options for "Move," "Copy," and "Rename on Drop" now work when the drag and drop originates from outside of FileCenter (Windows File Explorer etc).
- Modified "Split" button views/panes - Removed "Search" button from all Split views/panes. Manage tab/Inbox tab will remain the same with "Move" and "Copy" buttons/bubbles, Search tab should also have Move and Copy bubbles but not "Move down" and "Copy down" buttons.
- Fixed an issue where the "Action Bar" with "Move" and "Copy" buttons within "Split" view/pane were missing for FileCenter Standard Edition under "Manage" Tab and "Inbox" Tab.
- Removed some code checks that may have resulted in a warning message in our "Preview" Pane that displayed information about Locked/Online Only files, as this may have been causing problems for users pointing to "Online Only/Cloud Only" cloud storage (Dropbox Smart Sync, OneDrive Files on Demand, Google Drive File Stream - G: Drive, etc). This may have also affected certain situations where the file lock/online only message displayed after processing an Append/Prepend or other changes were made to an existing file with "Preview" enabled and a file selected, when a user had the same PDF open in the "PDF Editor tab + Preview Pane", etc. As normal, you will not be able to Save the file out if it's open in more than "one" of "Preview Pane, PDF Editor Tab, Any Separate Application" so you will need to close that document out until you only have it open in "one" of the following "Preview Pane, PDF Editor Tab, or Any Separate Application", then make sure to "Save" it out from whichever "one" of those instances you left the file open in. This warning message should only display when a file is going through the OCR process now based on testing.
- Fixed various issues with Pane restrictions not being applied correctly resulting in Panes going "off screen/off FileCenter Window".
- Fixed an issue with Pane resizing not being retained on application close while in Maximized and Windowed mode in some cases.
- Fixed an issue with "Maximize" not filling the screen correctly and leaving a bar showing the window behind (left side of screen) in some cases.
- Fixed an issue with "Portal Tab" > "Files" pane "Columns" in which the columns were resizing incorrectly, resulting in the "Preview" pane incorrectly adjusting the "Files" pane columns if expanded too far to the left.
- Fixed an issue with "Preview" pane automatically shrinking/creeping to the right on disable/enable of the Preview button in the ribbon as well as when opening documents into the PDF Editor/Image Editor.
- Fixed an issue specifically with the Cabinets > Layout > "Display Files On Bottom" setting in which the bottom pane would get to the point where it could not be controlled due to the bar for resizing going off screen if dragged too low, this would also cause problems with displaying all of your Drawers using the scroll bar for Drawers (large number of drawers would result in some drawers going off screen due to the Files pane on the bottom going off screen as well). We have put a limit/restriction on how much you can shrink the "Files" pane when it's displayed on the right or when it's displayed on the bottom so it will no longer go "off screen/off FileCenter window".
- Fixed an issue with "Fax" button dialog in which, using Add/Edit under "Fax Recipient" may result in a corrupt Name/Company after FileCenter is closed and re-opened. This seemed to only occur if a Space was used in Name and/or Company.
- Fixed an issue with "Bookmarks" when used through "Combine" dialog or "Scan" dialog (with a Bookmark separator), basically the first page was not being bookmarked as it should have been which may have been throwing off other Bookmarks or "Build Table of Contents" as well.
- Fixed an issue with drag and drop from Windows File Explorer (local drive) to FileCenter (network location/mapped drive) and vice-versa in which items would "Move" to the FileCenter Cabinet pointing to the network rather than a "Copy" being performed in this scenario as it should have.
- Fixed some FileCenter Save/Open dialog layout issues that may have occurred in certain situations.
- Fixed an issue with Preview not displaying correctly after the first preview, after a scan – and possibly in other situations as well – resulting in the need to close and reopen FileCenter to restore the Preview briefly.
- Fixed an issue with Enhanced Thumbnails where the Enhanced Thumbnail Orientation didn't match the Preview Orientation.
FileCenter Automate
- Fixed an issue with Pane resizing not being retained on application close while in Maximized and Windowed mode in some cases.
- Fixed various issues with Pane restrictions not being applied correctly resulting in Panes going "off screen/off FileCenter Window".
FileCenter Portal
- Fixed an issue with Pane resizing not being retained on application close while in Maximized and Windowed mode in some cases.
- Fixed various issues with Pane restrictions not being applied correctly resulting in Panes going "off screen/off FileCenter Window".
FileCenter Receipts
- Fixed an issue with Pane resizing not being retained on application close while in Maximized and Windowed mode in some cases.
- Fixed various issues with Pane restrictions not being applied correctly resulting in Panes going "off screen/off FileCenter Window".
- Fixed an issue with QuickBooks Online integration, in which one of our old domains was referenced and had expired.
11.0.48.0 (2022-08-03)
FileCenter DMS
- Added a new setting to Settings > General section for "Image Open Action". This will behave in a similar way to "PDF Open Action", except it will be for image file types (TIF, JPG, PNG, etc).
- Fixed an issue with Memory Reference and Pointer Errors Present in initial release of 11.0.47.15.
- Fixed an issue with Default Ribbon Tab option under Settings > General getting lost on FileCenter close, this resulted in "Inbox Tab" or "Edit Tab" options in reverting to "Manage Tab" on FileCenter close and the setting chosen not being respected properly.
- Fixed an issue with our tab auto switching when closing files from the PDF and Image Editors, basically it was always going to Manage tab even if the file open into Edit tab originated from the Inbox tab. Now when closing the file from PDF/Image Editors it will correctly take you back to Inbox tab if you opened the file from Inbox tab and to Manage tab if you opened the file from Manage.
- Fixed an issue with "OneDrive Location" and "SharePoint Location" dropdowns within the Add/Edit Cabinet Dialog. Now if a Cabinet Name is specified before or after creation, the name of the cabinet will correctly be added/edited to the respected path to create a folder with the same name as your Cabinet Name. Previously this only applied to the "Use Default Location" selection from the "Browse for Location" droplist.
- Fixed an issue with our recent Title Bar/Ribbon changes that was causing an extra line between the title bar and the ribbon buttons in certain situations.
- Fixed an issue that prevented FileCenter from launching correctly, when opening supported PDF/Image File Type outside of FileCenter into FileCenter PDF and Image Editors, when FileCenter was closed/not running.
- Fixed an issue in PDF Editor tab that prevented changes from being Saved (Save button in Ribbon, File > Save, or CTRL+S) after using "Scan" dialog (while in PDF Editor and with a document open in PDF Editor) - to "Append Scan/Prepend Scan/Insert After Page". Basically if you went to save with the previously mentioned methods after you "Append Scan/Prepend Scan/Insert After Page" while in PDF Editor, and closed out of the document, the changes were not saving correctly so it reverted back to what the original document was when you first opened it.
- Fixed an issue with "Search" tab in which the "Split" button activated the "Split" view, but did not display the "Drag and Drop" options in the middle of the "Split" view as it should have.
- Fixed an issue that prevented Outlook message attachments from being dragged and dropped into FileCenter.
FileCenter Receipts
- Fixed an issue where "FileCenter Receipts" was displaying an incorrect build number of 1.0.0.0 under the "Home" tab.
- Fixed an issue with "Analyze" procedure that was causing the "Analyze dialog" to produce empty results.
- Fixed and issue with "Add Receipt"/"Analyze" dialog where the delete pages button and the left and right page arrow buttons would not display as they should have for multi-page receipts.
11.0.47.0 (2022-07-25)
- Corrected errors and issues with enhanced thumbnails not loading.
- Corrected issue with delete, rename or moving files when using enhanced thumbnails.
- Corrected issue with OCR not providing options to process pages with existing text.
- Corrected Convert issue with Office files (docx, xls), received a licensing error. This also impacted Automate.
- Corrected issue with Delete button throwing an Access Violation error.
- Corrected issue with Tiffs not closing in the Image editor resulting in having to close FileCenter completely, this also impacted FileCenter Scan.
- Added "None" as an option in Settings > General > Ribbon Accent Color to provide a temporary fix for issues with the missing minimize, maximize and close options on the menu ribbon.
- Corrected issue with scanning to JPG in the image editor. JPGs and Tiffs would open and would not close. This also impacted FileCenter Scan.
- Corrected issue with menu ribbons showing up in the Home tab.
- Corrected issue within the PDF Editor - Deskew pages and Save as Optimized were causing FileCenter to crash.
- Corrected an issue with the Combine button throwing error "Error in PDF_Insert Pages".
- Corrected issue with Receipts Reports options missing, they have been added back so filtering is now available.
- Made background changes to how Sharepoint drawers load, so they do load faster.
11.0.46.0 (2022-05-16)
FileCenter DMS
- Fixed an issue that was a result of our "Files Sort" fix for "Enhanced Thumbnails", this caused some issues with FileCenter Save/Open dialog Settings and FileCenter DMS Save/Open Settings, basically a sync issue between the two settings that has since been corrected.
- Fixed an issue affecting FileCenter DMS Pro Plus users that do not use FileCenter Automate as well. This was an issue that may have made it difficult to process jobs using the "Job" button as you were not able to select your OCR option at the time of processing for an existing PDF file that already had text/OCR text.
- Fixed an issue that prevented mouse scrolling while in "Search" tab.
- Fixed some Refresh issues when changing/adding your FileCenter product edition key(s), certain features were not being added/removed/changed as they should have been.
- Fixed an issue with Outlook "Save Copy"/"Drag and Drop" Add-In/Integration that may have resulted in the Save Copy window popping behind Outlook.
- Fixed some refresh issues with upgrading from a previous version not bringing in the local data immediately after upgrade (required FileCenter restart).
- Fixed an issue with "Split View" where if a Cabinet was set to "Open Split View" under "Cabinet" settings and FileCenter "Application Bar" was enabled at the bottom, FileCenter would lose the location of the Split View and shrink the bottom split on each Close/Open of FileCenter.
- Fixed an issue with "Convert" dialog not immediately processing a convert from a text-based PDF document to Office File Formats (docx, xlsx, pptx, rtf). This was producing a prompt on how to handle OCR text unintentionally.
- Fixed an issue with Convert to RTF file type that prevented the RTF file from being output and was instead trying to process a WPD conversion even if Word Perfect was not installed.
- Fixed an issue with "Send document text to Word" in which the text would go to Notepad, even if Word was set as your default application for RTF files in Windows.
- Fixed an issue with "Convert" that may have affected files converted from various file types to PDF, which may have resulted in corrupted PDF documents.
FileCenter Automate
- Fixed an issue with converting from various file types to PDF that resulted in Document Rules not being able to process the file(s) correctly - resulting in a Failure of "No Output File". Only affected users that were converting from another file type to PDF and had Document Rules in use for a FileCenter Automate Job profile.
FileCenter Receipts
- Fixed a Refresh issue where, when a Receipt was added using the Receipts+ button in FileCenter DMS, it would not immediately update your box to reflect the new Receipt in FileCenter Receipts.
- Fixed a refresh issue where if you added a new Box, the Box wasn't immediately available under Reports.
FileCenter Scan
- Fixed an issue with "Unstack Document" in which selecting "Delete Source Document After Unstacking" was not functioning properly. The initial file did not close, so the "Source Document" file was unable to be deleted.
- Fixed an issue with "Undo" toolbar button, it may have been reflecting "Undo All" and this button may not have been fucntional.
- Fixed an issue with "Adjustments" toolbar button not working.
FileCenter Portal
- Added a dropdown method for switching Groups if Groups are enabled for your Portal account.
11.0.45.0 (2022-04-19)
FileCenter DMS
- Added "Double Click" collapse to Drawers when using "Double-clicking Drawer/Folder expands all subfolders" option under Settings > Manage Files.
- Added support for WhatsApp to FileCenter's Save/Open integration (FileCenter DMS > Settings > Save/Open > "All Supported Applications").
- Updated FileCenter PDF Editor to latest build.
- Updated FileCenter PDF Printer to latest build.
- Updated FileCenter Image Editor/Previewer to latest build.
- Updated the Title Bar.
- Improvements to NAS devices, VPN, Mapped Drives, UNC Paths, SharePoint Mapped Drives, possibly even Local drives etc. We have located and corrected an issue with Filtering that may have caused severe delays to the previously mentioned methods of connection for your Cabinet/Drawer/Folder selection loading files on FileCenter DMS launch (cabinet location with many files is selected on close etc may have run extremely slow, hung, froze, etc. on relaunch), as well as while working in FileCenter and navigating to a Drawer/Folder with many files (cabinet location with many files is selected while navigating around FileCenter may have run extremely slow, hung, froze, etc.).
- Improved a longstanding FileCenter DMS issue with the "Email" button in the main ribbon and the "Scan to Email" option in the "Scan" dialog. This issue caused the Outlook "Email Message" window with your "attachment" from FileCenter DMS to open in the background (hidden with the Outlook icon in the Windows taskbar flashing), rather than displaying as it should. This should also improve performance with third party mail client software such as Thunderbird.
- Fixed a longstanding FileCenter DMS issue with the "Enhanced Thumbnails" Files View option. This issue caused the "Files Sort Column" dropdown box in "Display" button/options to be grayed out with no available options. This has now been corrected to display the relevant options that are available with the other "Files View" choices (Large Icons, Small Icons, List, Details, Thumbnails) that control your display in Files Pane.
- Attempted a fix for "GD_InitializeSDK Failed" Error Message when installing a new build or rolling back to an older build. This will only work going forward because of a change to new build code, this will never work for rolling back to roughly build 11.0.28.0 through 11.0.43.0. Example: 11.0.45.0 should rollback to 11.0.44.0 without receiving this "GD_InitializeSDK Failed" error message constantly when trying to use "Scan" or "Edit" tab (Opening PDFs in FileCenter etc).
- Fixed an issue that caused "Double Clicking" the "First Drawer" of a Cabinet to Expand/Collapse resulting in a graphical flaw that should not have existed.
- Fixed some issues with Mouse Scrolling (wheel, touchpad, etc) in certain Panes, Windows, Dialogs, etc.
- Fixed some additional issues with FileCenter DMS auto-switching between "Edit" and "Manage" tab.
- Fixed an issue that was causing FileCenter DMS "Edit" tab to not pull up the main FileCenter window > "Edit" tab with any new documents in their own tabs, when files were opened from Windows File Explorer if the main FileCenter window was Minimized to taskbar.
- Fixed an issue with FileCenter DMS that resulted in a problem with "Jobs" run on PDFs that were text based (created from Microsoft Word etc) rather than being an image based PDF (Printed to FileCenter PDF Printer from modern browser, scanned in PDF, etc). The problem with text based PDFs that was corrected was, rather than processing the job (as it should have) FileCenter "Jobs" button/dialog would act as though the text based PDF was trying to be run through "OCR" button/dialog (which is not needed/available for text based PDFs). Due to this processing the existing file "Job" would just show an OCR dialog box with the only option to "Just Show The Existing Text" rather than processing the job successfully. This ultimately caused text based PDFs to not process through a job successfully (failed to follow rules, route etc).
- Fixed an issue with FileCenter DMS "Edit" tab that resulted in "Actions" button > "Combine Documents" failing.
- Fixed an issue with FileCenter DMS "Edit tab that resulted in "Actions" button > "Extract Pages" failing.
- Fixed an issue with FileCenter DMS "Edit tab that resulted in "Actions" button > "Extract and Save Pages" failing.
- Fixed an issue with FileCenter DMS "Edit tab that resulted in "Actions" button > "Transfer Pages" failing.
- Fixed an issue with saving and performing a subsequent "Convert" after using "Convert" button to go from PDF to TIF or TIF to PDF while in "Edit" tab.
- Changed FileCenter DMS "Edit" tab option for "Convert Documents" from "Actions" > "Convert Documents" to "Convert to PDF" and "Convert to TIF" depending on what file type you are currently working from while in "Edit" tab.
FileCenter Automate
- Improvements to FileCenter Automate manual file scanning and scheduled job file scanning.
FileCenter Portal
- Added Forced Refresh on Folder change to FileCenter Portal - allows you to simply select a folder (even one that's already selected) to force an immediate refresh on that folder to view the latest files within FileCenter Portal app/FileCenter DMS Portal tab. - Removed "User Guide" button from FileCenter Portal app/FileCenter DMS Portal tab.
- Removed Account information when using "Log Out" button from FileCenter Portal app/FileCenter DMS Portal tab "Account" button. Upon logging back in (including if credentials are incorrect) it will no longer display this information as it may not apply to the account you are trying to login with (can have several FileCenter Portal accounts).
- Fixed an issue with FileCenter Portal app/FileCenter DMS Portal tab that was causing a problem with selecting the "User Login" and/or "Guest Login" URLs (links) and using the "Open" button at the top of the pane to navigate to those web pages.

- Fixed an issue with FileCenter Receipts that resulted in Sales Tax fields displaying ($100) rather than 0.
- Fixed an issue with FileCenter Receipts that resulted in "Order By" "Description" and "Then Order By" "Description" not functioning correctly to sort - the field would choose a different option from the dropdown, or just go blank and show no selection for the dropdown. Also fixed an issue where if you were able to set "Description" for either field, it wouldn't hold this setting and would be lost after editing a receipt or table was refreshed.
- Fixed an issue with FileCenter Receipts in which the "Move" button in "Contacts" was not functioning correctly.
11.0.44.0 (2022-04-13)
- Minor bug fixes.
11.0.43.0 (2022-04-05)
- Added support for Windows Taskbar Personalization/Taskbar Behavior "Show my taskbar on all displays" > "When using multiple displays, show my taskbar apps on" - FileCenter applications should now function with this Windows setting rather than always showing the FileCenter taskbar icon(s) on all monitor taskbars. Example: If you set this Windows taskbar behavior to "Show my taskbar on all displays" with "Taskbar where window is open" option - each FileCenter application's taskbar icon should follow the FileCenter window to the new screen. This change should also improve Alt+Tab switching and display Shift+Right Click Context menus correctly for FileCenter application tray icons. This is all confirmed to be working on Windows 11, but should also work for Windows 10.
- Fixed some issues that may have still been impacting auto-switch from Edit tab to Manage tab/Inbox tab when last document tab was closed.
- Fixed an issue that may have been causing documents opened from Manage tab/Inbox tab to result in an empty Edit tab, rather than opening the document you instructed to open from Manage tab/Inbox tab.
- Fixed an issue that may have caused Drawers to expand in height unintentionally when switching from Inbox tab to Manage tab.
- Fixed an issue with TIF conversion using "Convert" button while in Edit tab that wouldn't allow you to close out of the active/last document tab, there may have also been an error when this occurred.
- Fixed an issue with Page Separators option in "OCR" button/dialog where converting to TIF through OCR dialog in Edit tab, would produce an error that mentioned input file was empty.
- Fixed remaining issues with FileCenter Scan/FileCenter DMS Scan that resulted in problems with page order, last page being removed (missing pages), Manual/Scanner Duplex. Also addressed certain Cleanup Options being enabled in Scan Profile that impacted the previous items, Scan Mode being impacted/behaving differently between FileCenter Scan/FileCenter DMS Scan that was also contributing to the previous items.
- Fixed an issue with "Edit" tab that resulted in scans performed through "Edit" tab restricting OCR and Save button/dropdowns from the main FileCenter ribbon. This issue also prevented OCR process from running the Scan Profile's OCR option when a Scan was initiated on a profile that had "Make Searchable PDF" option selected under OCR tab of Scan Dialog.
- Fixed an issue with our new setting "Paint Drawers and Folders Based on PaperPort" under Settings > Miscellaneous that may have resulted in a "Message" box with just a path in the message box.
- Fixed an issue with Mouse Scrolling non-PDF file types in FileCenter DMS Preview Pane, as well as some other viewer locations.
- Fixed some issues with MSG file type being Viewed/Previewed correctly while working in FileCenter Receipts.
- Fixed an issue with Adobe Previewer option that caused some issues for F2 Rename/F2 In Line Editing – inconsistencies were occurring due to Adobe Preview option capturing our FileCenter Files Pane keyboard clicks, which was not happening with our other Previewer options.
- Fixed some issues with Adobe Previewer not generating the selected file Preview occasionally.
- Fixed an issue with "Preview" dropdown not displaying correct/relevant PDF/Non-PDF Preview options for the file type selected, if rename was selected prior to Preview dropdown being selected to change Preview option it was only display Non-PDF options even though a PDF was selected.
- Fixed an issue with Flatten Comments option in OCR button dialog > Advanced tab while in Edit tab. This was causing newly added comments to not be embedded until after a save (with the new comments committed by the Save) and re-running OCR with Flatten Comments option again. When OCR is run with Flatten Comments option now - it will correctly OCR as desired, display OCR text at the bottom, and Flatten Comments immediately - even if subsequent comments are added after an OCR and OCR button is immediately used after the comments with Flatten Comments option enabled - behavior will be the same now.
- Removed "Insert Separator" from "Tools" button/dropdown and "Separator" button/dropdown in "Manage" tab, since these should only be available in "Edit" tab.
- Removed "Apply Folder Templates" from "Tools" button/dropdown in "Edit" tab.
- Fixed additional issues with "Actions" button/dropdown and "Tools" button/dropdown that were causing some options to display in "Manage" tab that should have only been available in "Edit" tab, and vice-versa - shown in "Edit" tab but should have only been available in "Manage" tab.
- Fixed refresh issues that may have caused Newly Combined or Newly Extracted files to not Preview immediately after the process completed.
- Fixed an issue with switching from "Edit" tab to "Manage" tab that may have caused PDF that was open in "Edit" tab to disappear upon return to "Edit" tab.
- Fixed an issue with Shift + Right Click/Right Click of Thumbnail Preview of "Open" FileCenter Suite applications in Windows taskbar icons. Initially this would only display "Restore", "Minimize", and "Close" as options - we now provide all options "Restore", "Move", "Size", "Minimize", "Maximize", "Close".
11.0.42.0 (2022-03-11)
- Added support for Two-Factor Authentication to FileCenter Portal application and FileCenter DMS application > Portal tab. You can now enable 2FA through your Web Portal (Web Access button in FileCenter Portal/FileCenter DMS Portal tab), once in your web portal go into your name menu/dropdown at the top right > Personal Settings > Password & Security section > Two-Factor Authentication > click Activate Two-Factor Authentication button > choose between SMS and Authenticator app (you can use your choice of Authenticator app based on our testing) > enter SMS/Authenticator code to Verify activation of 2FA. Once this has been done, you will now be prompted for a 2FA code any time you login through Web Portal/Web Access, as well as within FileCenter Portal/FileCenter DMS Portal tab.
- Added "Edit Page As Image" dropdown choice to "Edit Image" button within Edit Tab/PDF Editor - "Edit Page As Image" is the same behavior as our old "Edit Image" button - "Edit Image" button now behaves as an option to edit individual images in a PDF and can be used with the "Selection Tool" from the Edit Tab/PDF Editor Toolbar when a specific image is selected. "Edit Image" will not allow Crop or Auto Crop, if needing to use these tools you must use "Edit Image" button/dropdown menu to select "Edit Page As Image" option which will unlock/display the Crop and Auto Crop tools.
- Added PaperPort folder painting/coloring feature that we were previously forcing on and had removed, and also made this an option that users can control by Enable/Disable Checkbox in Settings > Miscellaneous, rather than forcing it on and impacting all FileCenter users. The default state for this option will be off/unchecked. The name of the new option is "Paint Drawers and Folders based on PaperPort". It will function as it did before when enabled by user – respect PaperPort folder painting/coloring until color is changed within FileCenter, at which point FileCenter would take over all folder painting for that folder, ignoring the PaperPort settings file that contains PaperPort coloring within the directory. It may still impact performance as it did previously so use cautiously with any cabinets that use network paths, mapped drives, mapped SharePoint drives, etc. If performance is impacted you may need to turn this option off.
- Added <username> wildcard option to Advanced Cabinets/Drawers for users that use Advanced Cabinets with Cloud Service Providers.
- Added Quickbooks 2022 (64 bit) to Default FileCenter Save Dialog Filters since the process name changed from qbw32.exe to qbw.exe and we were not able to intercept the dialog.
- Improved SharePoint Mapped Drive Performance - This may also improve other network connected devices (VPN Mapped Drives, NAS Mapped Drives, etc).
- Added option to Settings > General for "Disable notes auto save" to give users control over whether they want to receive a prompt for Save confirmation on Notes, to help prevent accidental Note information loss.
- Added support for opening password protected PDFs within FileCenter Scan product.
- Removed "Edit Image" button from the Image Editor so it will not display when Image files (TIF) are open within FileCenter Edit Tab, as the options are already available to you in the Image Editor itself.
- Fixed an issue with new <username> wildcard feature for Advanced Cabinets causing Advanced Cabinet Drawers to not display in some cases.
- Fixed an issue with Namings/Naming Options failing to create in Packages separate from the main FileCenter Package.
- Fixed an issue with Settings > Scan/OCR options "Use Alternate Scanning Method" and "Hide TWAIN Progress Window" which may have caused conflicts with scanning - these options should be Unchecked by default unless absolutely needed. Compatibility should be controlled through the scan dialog directly in most cases, through the "Select" button within the "Scan" button dialog found in the main ribbon of "Manage" tab.
- Fixed an issue with Split button/Split view, in which the Split view would be disabled automatically when switching Cabinets or opening a PDF in Edit tab and closing the document/going back to Manage tab. Split should now remain open/enabled, as expected, when performing these actions.
- Fixed an issue with DtSearch Indexing, where it wouldn't perform the index in certain situations, even when forced manually.
- Fixed an issue with the network option "Custom Recycle Bin" that was causing a fresh install of FileCenter to a new device to automatically enable the "Move To Custom Recycle Bin" set to a bad path of "." - this was preventing any settings changes to result in an "Invalid Path" error and preventing any settings from Saving until the path was corrected from Settings > Miscellaneous. We have reverted the default for Network Deletes to "Delete Permanently" which is what this was set to in the past.
- Fixed an issue with "Manual Duplex"/"Prompt For More Pages" that was resulting in bad/duplicate dialogs, and preventing the Duplex from processing/combining the resulting file properly.
- Fixed an issue where JPG files orientation may not match between Preview Pane and Enhanced Thumbnails in certain situations or when a certain Previewer was selected.
- Improved Enhanced Thumbnails by adding a refresh to Files pane after files changed through Preview Pane have been "Saved".
- Fixed an issue with "Edit Page As Image" which caused "Crop" and "Auto Crop" options to not display as they should have.
- Fixed an issue with our FileCenter Save Dialog which caused it to not load cabinets correctly, forcing you to click the "Refresh" button to load them so they display.
- Fixed an issue with "Edit Image" / "Edit Page As Image" that caused the order of pages in the edited document to go out of order when a change was committed - such as Auto Deskew, Auto Crop, etc.
- Fixed an issue with "Edit Image" where when this was used, a Landscape image would be mistakenly displayed as Portrait within "Edit Image" dialog - wasn't respecting the original orientation.
- Fixed an issue that occurred when Manual Duplex was used in FileCenter Scan product, the issue resulted in the Manual Duplex Scanned Document pages being ordered incorrectly.
- Fixed an issue with Actions button/dropdown options.
- Fixed an issue with Shared Settings - FileCenterShared tab in which Groups would either display as blank in the droplist or have All Users duplicated more than once.
- Fixed some issues with the auto-switch from closing last document in Edit tab to go to Manage tab.
- Fixed some issues which may have caused files to open into a blank Edit tab, which also caused subsequent files to not open from Manage tab into Edit tab until FileCenter was closed and re-launched.
- Fixed some issues with Edit tab > File > Move to Trash / Edit tab > Right Click Document Tab > Move to Trash which seemed to result in error messages if Preview Pane was enabled in Manage tab. May have also caused some auto-switch issues for closing last document in Edit tab to switch back to Manage tab. This may have also attributed to the issue with Edit tab opening documents into a blank Edit tab/requiring FileCenter restart to correct.
- Fixed/Improved Right Click > New > Document Options – will now create the new document type chosen, select the new document, sort the document correctly immediately, scroll to the correct position of the new document.
- Fixed/Improved Drawer filtering with Split view that may have caused cursor to go out of focus while typing/using Drawer filtering with Split view enabled.
- Fixed/Improved Sorting/Refreshing when a file was added/changed from Windows File Explorer rather than FileCenter for a Local/Network Cabinet location.

Indicate the page where the barcode is found and, if there's more than one barcode on the page, the barcode position. Note that you should go to Settings > Barcodes to set up which kinds of barcodes you use.

To enable it, go to Settings > General > Enable Advanced Outlook Drag/Drop.

You'll notice that one of the lists is called Dates. Select the date format (and optionally the date), and click Insert into Name.

- FileCenter Can Follow Path Changes in the Save/Open Dialog. Let's say you're saving a file through FileCenter's Save interface. You have to switch to a different cabinet/drawer.
